#GetNaked

We proudly present our newest #GetNaked spokesperson – Teddi Mellencamp!

We are pleased to announce the launch of our annual award-winning #GetNaked campaign in recognition of Melanoma Awareness Month. TV personality, wellness coach, host of the top-rated podcast “Two Ts in a Pod”, melanoma survivor and advocate Teddi Mellencamp will serve as this year’s #GetNaked campaign spokesperson. In this role, Teddi will join the MRF’s #GetNaked campaign focused on generating awareness around early-detection and educating the public about melanoma prevention.

Join the MRF and Instagram’s most influential dermatology and skin health experts in May for engaging and educational conversations on topics including sun safety, incorporating sun protective clothing, debunking popular dermatological myths and more!

SPOTlighting Melanoma Toolkit

We are excited to launch a new pilot program during Melanoma Awareness Month – SPOTlighting Melanoma Toolkit! This Toolkit will provide 5 cancer centers in rural communities with access to digital and print resources intended to provide patients and caregivers with education pertaining to:

  1. Prevention/Awareness
  2. Clinical Trials
  3. Understanding Pathology Reports
  4. Recent Advances in the Field
  5. Psychosocial topics and more!

Ask the Expert:

Our “Ask the Expert” webinar series is intended to educate and engage our community about the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of melanoma, the critical need for research and how melanoma patients and caregivers can be powerful advocates for their care. The Melanoma Awareness Month “Ask the Expert” presentation sponsored by Eisai will be on Tuesday, May 16 at 7pm. MRF Advocacy Officer Kim Watkins will lead a discussion with a patient panel of Kristin Steiner, Jennifer Schultz and Terrilyn Healy to share how patients, caregivers and survivors can be powerful advocates for both their own care and the wider melanoma community. The MRF in partnership with F Cancer has launched a fun and engaging animated filter to help advance critical topics such as sun safety, prevention, and early detection.
The filter is available on both TikTok and Instagram. When using the filter, be sure to tag us and post on your socials to help increase visibility and engagement!
