While we eagerly anticipated the Pediatric Melanoma Summit in January, due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases, Omicron variant concerns and out of an abundance of caution, the Melanoma Research Foundation (MRF) rescheduled the upcoming Pediatric Summit until July 22-24, 2022. Registered participants have been been sent an email with instructions on how to modify or cancel reservations, and a new registration link for the July event is now available. Who should attend: 

The Pediatric Melanoma Summit is for pediatric and teen melanoma patients and their families. We have 40 rooms reserved. Space is limited and will be given on a first come, first serve basis. If your plans change and you are no longer able to attend, it is very important that you inform us immediately and cancel your reservation at the hotel so another family may be able to attend. 

Reserving your room: 

All families are responsible for reserving their own rooms. All room arrangements must be made through the Great Wolf Lodge. If you previously had a reservation for the January event, you will need to contact Great Wolf Lodge to cancel or move to the July 22-24 event.

This year, families are responsible for paying the deposit and will be refunded upon check-in to the Great Wolf Lodge. Once you have checked into the hotel, you will be moved to the MRF invoice for the remainder of your stay. 

Should you not attend, you will be responsible for cancelling your reservation and any fees associated.  

The MRF will pay for one room and the taxes for each family for the nights of the summit. Guest rooms sleep 6 and have two queen beds, one sleeper sofa and one bathroom. Guests will be asked to provide a credit card for incidentals and for the deposit but will not be charged for the stay at the hotel. Access to the water park is included.  

Arriving before/Staying after the event: 

A discounted room rate of $209 will be offered to you for the nights of Thursday, July 21 and Sunday, July 24 should you want to come early or stay after the event concludes.

• Friday, July 22: Welcome and Dinner at Great Wolf Lodge 
• Saturday, July 23: Breakfast, Seminars, Lunch, Play Time & Dinner 
• Sunday, July 24: Breakfast, Seminars, Wrap-up & Lunch 

The MRF will provide a welcome dinner on Friday evening, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday. All meals and snacks outside of those provided will be on your own. 

The agenda will accommodate all melanoma warriors and for their siblings ages 4-17.  

Travel Arrangements: 

The Great Wolf Lodge is located 14 miles from the Phoenix Sky Harbour International Airport. 

From Phoenix Sky Harbour Airport: head west on E Sky Harbour Blvd, and take the left lane to the exit for 41st St. Turn right onto 41st Street. Merge onto Sky Harbour Blvd and use the left two lanes to merge onto AZ-202/AZ202 Loop Toward Tempe/Mesa. Take Exit 9 to merge onto AZ 101 Loop N. Take Exit 45 from AZ-101 to Loop N. to McDonald Dr and turn left onto McDonald Dr. Turn right onto Pima Road to the Lodge.
