• The 20th Anniversary Society for Melanoma Research Congress will be on November 6-9, 2023 in Philadelphia, PA. The MRF’s CURE OM initiative will host the 12th Annual OM Science Meeting in conjunction with the SMR Congress.

Past Meetings, Summaries & Publications

• The ASCO Annual Meeting was held on June 2-6, 2023 in Chicago, IL. The MRF Breakthrough Consortium (MRFBC) held its annual meeting in conjunction with the ASCO Meeting.
• Increasing Collaboration in the Mucosal Melanoma Community, a hybrid meeting for both investigators as well as patient and caregivers was held on Friday, December 16 at Columbia University in New York City. • Improving Access to & Equity of Melanoma Prevention & Care, a hybrid meeting for investigators was held on Friday, November 18, 2022 in Chicago, IL. Virtual participation was also available.

• The CURE OM Global Science Meeting was held on Monday, October 17, 2022 in Edinburgh, Scotland in conjunction with the Society for Melanoma Research International Congress.

• The latest MRF Breakthrough Consortium Virtual Meeting was held on June 3, 2022 in conjunction with the ASCO Annual Meeting.

• Melanoma Brain Metastases Summit 3.0: to build upon the momentum of the first two summits, a third summit was held to focus on four key areas: preclinical studies/models, characterization of risk for CNS disease including tumor microenvironment and metabolism, clinical care and trials, and leptomeningeal disease. The meeting produced a white paper entitled Melanoma central nervous system metastases: An update to approaches, challenges, and opportunities, published in the journal Pigment Cell and Melanoma Research.

• The State of Melanoma: Emergent Challenges and Opportunities a publication in Clinical Cancer Research summarizing summarizing new developments and discussions at the second MRF Brain Metastases Summit.

• The Latest on Uveal Melanoma Research and Clinical Trials: Updates from the Cure Ocular Melanoma (CURE OM) Science Meeting (2019) a publication in Clinical Cancer Research summarizing the latest developments in ocular melanoma (OM) research and science discussed at the 2019 CURE OM Science Meeting.

• Leptomeningeal Disease in Melanoma Patients: An Update to Treatment, Challenges, and Future Directions, a publication in Pigment Cell & Melanoma Research, is a summary of the leptomeningeal disease discussions during the 2018 MRF Second Summit on Melanoma Central Nervous System (CNS) Metastases.

• Melanoma central nervous system metastases: An update to approaches, challenges, and opportunities a publication in Pigment Cell & Melanoma Research (a summary of the 2018 MRF Second Summit on Melanoma Central Nervous System (CNS) Metastases).

• The State of Melanoma: Challenges and Opportunities a publication in Pigment Cell & Melanoma Research (a 2016 manuscript stemming from discussions amongst the MRF Scientific Advisory Council and the MRF Breakthrough Consortium).
