MRF Advocates are a powerful voice for the melanoma community at the local, state and federal levels of government. Every spring, melanoma patients, caregivers, supporters and advocacy partners from across the country come together in Washington, DC for Advocacy Days, the largest melanoma advocacy event of the year. Following a comprehensive briefing on key legislative priorities, advocates hold meetings on Capitol Hill to share their stories and urge lawmakers to support policies like increased federal funding for melanoma research, expanded prevention initiatives and new advances in cancer care.
