Universal Studios 5k Media Coverage
In May 2012, the MRF partnered with Hillary Fogelson of Pale Girl SPEAKS and her husband, Adam Fogelson, Chairman of Universal Studios, to celebrate Melanoma Awareness Month with the inaugural Miles for Melanoma 5k Run/Walk at Universal Studios.
The event was incredibly successful. More than 1,000 people attended – including celebrities Vin Diesel, Sean Astin, Jason Biggs and Fred Savage. This dedicated army of volunteers and supporters helped raise $185,000 for research, an impressive new high-water mark for Miles for Melanoma fundraising.
