The Melanoma Research Foundation to Host the Philadelphia Miles for Melanoma 5K

Philadelphia, PA (August 18, 2022) The Melanoma Research Foundation (MRF) is proud to announce the return of their Philadelphia Miles for Melanoma 5K, held Saturday, August 27, at Franklin Square, 8:30AM ET.

The nationwide annual 5K event tours the country to celebrate local melanoma patients, thrivers and caregivers. This year, the Philadelphia melanoma community will unite to raise $70,000 in support of critical melanoma research.

In addition to raising essential funds to support melanoma research, this event helps elevate public awareness around early detection and prevention of cutaneous melanoma and rare melanoma subtypes. The Miles for Melanoma program also highlights the importance of sun safety and scheduling annual dermatological skin checks. Local presenting sponsor, Fox Chase Cancer Center, will provide complimentary on-site skin checks to all registered participants on event day.

The MRF team is grateful to welcome a wide range of local presenting and national sponsors to Philadelphia including; Bristol Myers Squibb, Fox Chase Cancer Center, HUYABIO International, Iovance Biotherapeutics, Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, Merck, Novartis, Oncosec Immunotherapies and TriSalus Life Sciences. National sponsors include Neutrogena, Coolibar and Pfizer.

Register to attend the Philadelphia Miles for Melanoma 5K event here, by Wednesday, August 24 at 11:59PM ET. On-site registration will also be available on event day.
