The Melanoma Research Foundation to Host the 2022 Florida Miles for Melanoma 5K

ESTERO, FL (April 21, 2022) The Melanoma Research Foundation (MRF) is thrilled to announce the start of its annual Miles for Melanoma nationwide 5K program bringing together local melanoma patients, survivors, care partners and survivors. This year’s series will launch with an event in Estero, Florida on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Estero Park at 8:30am ET

The 5k walk/race will bring together the Florida-area melanoma community with a goal of raising $30,000 in support of critical melanoma research.

In addition to raising essential funds to support melanoma research, this event helps elevate public awareness around early detection and prevention of cutaneous melanoma and rare melanoma subtypes. The Miles for Melanoma program also highlights the importance of sun safety and scheduling annual dermatological skin checks. The Florida Miles local presenting sponsor, Dermatology Solutions, will provide complimentary on-site skin checks to all registered participants on event day.

The MRF team is thrilled to welcome a wide range of local presenting and national sponsors to the Florida event this April. The 2022 local sponsors include Dermatology Solutions, IO Biotech, Castle Biosciences and Moffitt Cancer Center. The 2022 national sponsors include Neutrogena, Coolibar and Bristol Myers Squibb

Register to attend the Florida Miles for Melanoma 5K event here by April 30th. All participants who register before April 30th will receive a free MRF UV wristband. Team captains will receive an MRF tote bag. Register today!
