Patient Speaker – Kristin Lindsey – Kristin Lindsey was diagnosed with ocular melanoma in 2019 after years of regular screenings prompted by several Auburn sorority sisters who had also developed the disease. Following successful brachytherapy she faced the challenge of adapting to vision loss especially as a photographer and artist. Inspired by artwork created by individuals with visual impairments, Kristin learned to adjust her approach and continue pursuing the creative work she loves. She now shares her story and art in hopes of encouraging others navigating similar challenges and remains deeply grateful for her medical team and the steadfast support of her husband and three grown children.
