About This Event

Join us for an insightful webinar exploring the emerging role of minimal residual disease (MRD) testing in melanoma management. This session will provide an overview of MRD testing and its types, share recent data on physician attitudes and adoption of MRD testing, and highlight how experts are integrating MRD testing into melanoma treatment and care.

The webinar will be led by Dr. Beitsch, a surgical oncologist trained at MD Anderson Cancer Center and the John Wayne Cancer Institute, who brings extensive expertise in advancing melanoma care and applying innovative testing approaches in clinical practice.

We’ll also hear from Daione Sanders, a two-time melanoma survivor diagnosed with stage IV metastatic melanoma at age 27. Now NED, Daione shares her inspiring journey.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how MRD testing is shaping the future of melanoma management and improving patient outcomes.

About the Speakers:

Dr. Beitsch is a surgical oncologist trained at MD Anderson Cancer Center and the John Wayne Cancer Institute. Over the past 30 years, he has contributed to multiple practice-changing studies in sentinel lymph node biopsy, breast radiation, genomic testing, and breast cancer genetics. In addition to his clinical and research work, he has built and led innovative ventures, including founding Northpoint Cancer Center, establishing Targeted Medical Education, and serving as Chief Science Officer at Medneon, later acquired by Invitae. He recently completed the Emory Chief Medical Officer Program, further strengthening his expertise at the intersection of clinical care, research, and executive leadership.

Daione Sanders was diagnosed with melanoma twice in her twenties. At 27, she received a stage IV metastatic melanoma diagnosis with brain metastases and completed a multi-year treatment plan. She currently holds NED status. Outside of her health journey, she oversees growth and partnerships for a national media company. She lives in Dallas with her husband and their cat, George and she enjoys an active and healthy lifestyle.
