The Education Intern will support the Education program at the Melanoma Research Foundation (MRF) and its goal of improving the lives of melanoma patients and their caregivers. Please note that this internship is unpaid and educational credit will be issued for the duration of the internship.

- Undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Public Health, Health Education, or a related field.
Overview.
The MRF is seeking an Intern to support the Education Department for spring and/or summer 2025. This position will support the Education team’s efforts to enable patients, caregivers, providers, and the general public access to the information they need to make informed decisions. The ideal candidate will be motivated, energetic and have a strong interest in the non-profit healthcare sector. This role will report to the senior education program manager.
This internship will be based upon 10-20 hours of work per week. This will be an unpaid, in-person internship based in Washington, DC; a hybrid work environment is required.

Core Responsibilities.
- Assist with tracking educational material inventory, metrics and fulfilling shipment requests. Help create graphs and metrics to show impact.
- Support with ordering, sorting and organization of branded educational materials.
- Assist Education Program Manager with event preparation for educational symposia and Ask the Expert webinars including outreach, and post event activities.
- Prepare materials for educational events including educational patient symposia, presentations and meetings.
- Review educational content including but not limited to Animated Melanoma Patient videos, webinars, literature, website content, etc.
- Draft social media content and summaries from events to be communicated out to the community.
- Support with the collection and reporting of metrics from events.
- Assist with entering contacts into the MRF’s CRM database (Blackbaud).
- Proof-reading educational materials and editing support as needed.
- Provide general administrative support to the Education Team as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications.
Candidate must be local to the DMV Metropolitan Area as the internship is hybrid and based in Washington, DC.
ADA Physical Demands:
- The position requires being seated for several hours a day
- The employee must frequently speak and hear as well as utilize the telephone, computer keyboard and monitor, pen and paper
