The Melanoma Research Foundation Announces Rebrand and Launch of New Website to Better Serve the Melanoma Patient and Scientific Community

Washington, DC (January 27, 2025) – The Melanoma Research Foundation (MRF), the largest independent organization devoted to melanoma, is excited to announce the official launch of its rebrand and new website. This transformation reflects the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to providing trustworthy and cohesive education, support and resources to melanoma patients, thrivers and caregivers as well as helping to foster research advancements and treatment progress amongst the melanoma scientific community.

Founded in 1996 by a melanoma patient, the MRF has always held the patient community at the core of its work. Since then, the foundation has evolved into its current tri-partite mission to accelerate research while educating and advocating for the melanoma community. The rebrand, which includes a refreshed logo, updated patient centric messaging and a new website design, aligns with the Foundation’s tri-partite mission, honors those who have lost their lives to this disease, pays homage to the significant treatment progress made to date and acknowledges the research advancements that will enable more breakthroughs in the future.

The redesigned website offers a more robust, streamlined and user-friendly experience with improved navigation making it easier for visitors to easily access helpful information, essential resources, stay up to date on the latest melanoma-related news, locate MRF events and donate to support continued progress.

“We are elated to unveil our new look and digital platform,” said MRF’s Chief Communications and Marketing Officer, James Merrick. “This rebrand is not just a visual update that further aligns the MRF with ADA compliance but also reflects our dedication to melanoma patients and their loved ones in ensuring they have access to the support needed to navigate and prevent this disease.”

Features of the new website experience include:

  • A more streamlined navigation: Allows visitors to self-identify and readily locate supportive resources, programs and resources pertinent to them, for all melanoma subtypes and stages.
  • Enhanced community engagement: A platform for the melanoma community to share their stories, access patient forums and connect with others.
  • Easy donation and ways to give opportunities: Simplified ways to support the Foundation’s efforts to accelerate medical research, educate and advocate for the melanoma community.
  • Educational content: Prevention and treatment articles, key opinion leader webinars, clinical trial finders and so much more!

The new website is live today at www.melanoma.org!
