Asia Thongsy

Asia Thongsy joined the Melanoma Research Foundation (MRF) in August 2026 as Development Manager for Miles for Melanoma. In this role, she oversees the Miles for Melanoma events nationwide and leads fundraising initiatives that generate critical support for melanoma research through strategic partnerships, donor engagement and community-driven events. Asia brings several years of nonprofit experience supporting community engagement, youth development, humanitarian aid initiatives for vulnerable populations and donor relations. She earned her degree in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). Outside of work, Asia is endlessly curious and always seeking new experiences. Whether exploring the food, culture, and traditions of a new country, volunteering in her community, attending networking events, taking group fitness classes, or binge-watching a new series, she embraces every opportunity to learn, connect and grow.
