- 4-year degree required in public relations, journalism, communications or related field required
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in non-profit communications
- Experience with media monitoring services/reporter database search services is preferred
- Prior experience in cancer or health advocacy organizations preferred

JOB SUMMARY:
The Programmatic Marketing Manager will support the Communications and Program teams (Research, Education and Advocacy) by developing and distributing marketing materials for different programs, campaigns and events, while providing outstanding customer service for MRF constituents.
The Programmatic Marketing Manager will report to the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer (CCMO) but will work closely with multiple members of the MRF staff. The Programmatic Marketing Manager will work closely and share some responsibilities with the Development Marketing Manager. This role contributes to the MRF’s organizational effectiveness by developing clear, compelling and timely communications to advance the national programmatic needs of the MRF.

Core Responsibilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Indicates the action or outcomes required to fulfill each major responsibility of the position.
- Work with the CCMO and Development Marketing Manager and program teams to create marketing strategies, print materials and multimedia assets
- Provide excellent project management for the communications team overseeing all programmatic marketing projects’ timeline and ensure all deliverables are met. Serve as main liaison between programmatic and communications teams
- Alongside programs, edit and update research, education and advocacy sections of the MRF website
- Oversee MRF’s communications calendar with assistance of communications team
- Manage all education, advocacy and research digital campaigns including social media and email campaigns and creation of accompanying digital graphics
- Work with organizational CRM to input programmatic relevant data and perform analysis to ensure effective communications and marketing strategies
- Manage all Foundation wide e-newsletters, including the monthly SPOTlight and quarterly
- Eye on OM and Advocate newsletters, through creation and implementation of an annual calendar, drafting copy, editing and distributing
- Assist in editing external facing communications, maintaining and enforcing the Foundation’s style guide
- Attend select scientific and patient meetings to cover and promote sessions via social media, blogs and wrap-up emails
- Track and refine digital metrics for social media and email to inform and direct effective media strategies
- Have a working knowledge of social media paid ads and Google Ads strategy
- Create one-off graphics for social media posts and emails using InDesign and/or Canva
- Work with graphic design vendor to create major campaign collateral
Requirements & Qualifications.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- 44-8 years of experience in marketing, communications, PR or a related field
- Strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills required
- Proficiency using CRM/database tools, Donor Perfect preferred
- Experience with fundamental graphic design concepts and tools as well as video editing
software proficiency preferred - Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multi-task several ongoing projects
- Flexible and responsive to sudden matters that may arise or become short-term, high priority
tasks - Able to set realistic expectations and manage competing priorities or requests from
colleagues - Team-player with a positive attitude who can effectively work with multiple constituents
- Previous management experience preferred
- Travel required in support of an average of 6-10 events per year. Some weekend and
evening travel is required - Position is hybrid with in-office expectations of 2 days per week, based in Washington, DC
