MRF Hosts Meeting to Find New Treatments for Melanoma

The Melanoma Research Foundation hosted a meeting on June 7 to coincide with the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s (ASCO) annual meeting in Chicago to discuss the MRF Breakthrough Consortium. Attendees included leading melanoma researchers and members of the MRF’s board of directors. The MRF Breakthrough Consortium is a collaborative effort between researchers, pharmaceutical companies and the government to accelerate the discovery of combination therapies for melanoma.

Lynn Schuchter, M.D., recently wrote an article for CNBC about melanoma research updates presented at ASCO and included the MRF Breakthrough Consortium as a platform to hasten research
