Julie & Amelia – #GivingTuesday 2015
#GivingTuesday is Tuesday, December 1, 2015! Join Julie and Amelia in Supporting the MRF.
#GivingTuesday is Tuesday, December 1 and your gift to the Melanoma Research Foundation (MRF) of any amount will make a difference. In the coming days as you gather to give thanks, tell your family and friends about why you plan to support the MRF on #GivingTuesday. By giving what you can, whether it’s a corporate gift or the hard-earned proceeds from a lemonade stand, you support the brave families fighting this cancer like Julie Inlow-Muñoz and her six-year-old daughter, Amelia.
"Any cancer diagnosis is tough, but a rare cancer diagnosis is especially challenging. Very few people understand your condition and there is far less funding directed toward research. Since I was diagnosed earlier this year with ocular melanoma (a cancer afflicting 6:1,000,000 people), I've had '$=research=cure' as one of my mantras. I truly believe, with sufficient research funding, a cure can be found in my lifetime. That is why I am committed to working with the MRF's CURE OM initiative to fight ocular melanoma. Please join me this December 1st for #GivingTuesday."
– Julie Inlow-Muñoz
"I raise money [for ocular melanoma research and CURE OM] because I like helping people. And it also makes me happy."
– Amelia Muñoz (age 6 ½ )
On December 1, we'll share details about how you can support the MRF as part of #GivingTuesday! Your tax-deductible gift received on #GivingTuesday will support the MRF's work to combat cutaneous, ocular, mucosal and pediatric melanoma. Your generous donation will help bring exciting research and treatment advances to those battling melanoma, as well as expand efforts to prevent future diagnoses. Questions? Email [email protected]
The MRF envisions a world without melanoma and your support on #GivingTuesday shows that you do, too.
