Ask Your Members of Congress to Support the Sunscreen Innovation Act!

Senator Jack Reed (D-RI), Senator Johnny Isakson (R-GA), Congressman Ed Whitfield (R-KY) and Congressman John Dingell (D-MI) recently introduced the Sunscreen Innovation Act (H.R. 4250/S. 2141) to alleviate the current 12 year backlog of sunscreen ingredients, and to expedite the approval process of next generation over-the-counter sunscreen products. Many of these products have been available in Europe for nearly 20 years! American consumers should be provided with the same options. 

The introduction of this legislation is an important step forward in the fight against melanoma. To encourage support, our partners at the Skin Cancer Foundation have begun a letter writing campaign.
