Debbie Churgai, MA

Education Program Manager

Debbie joined the Melanoma Research Foundation in January of 2024 as the Education Program Manager. In this role, Debbie helps to develop and support the educational programs at MRF that enable patients, caregivers, providers, and the general public access to the information they need to make informed decisions. Prior to joining MRF, Debbie held the position of Executive Director at Americans for Safe Access (ASA), a medical cannabis patient advocacy organization that helped patients across the country by creating education and policies that improved access to medical cannabis. Debbie is also an adjunct faculty member with the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy MS in Cannabis Science and Therapeutics program and has taught courses in cannabis advocacy, policy, and research. Prior to that she worked in the Behavioral and Public Health fields working on projects in tobacco regulation and substance abuse prevention and treatment and holds a Master’s degree in Psychology. Debbie lives in Annapolis Maryland with her husband, two daughters Sophia and Chloe, and dog Kona who is always by her side.
