Participants at the inaugural Virtual San Francisco Gala will fund a grant to the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Melanoma Program during the Fund-A-Grant portion of the event, have the opportunity to bid on amazing auction items and even a chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime vacation. At the virtual gala, the MRF will present a Humanitarian Award to UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center Melanoma Program.

#GetNakedJax is a casual yet impactful annual event in Jacksonville that brings the community together with a shared determination to eradicate melanoma through research. Founded with the goal of funding a research grant each year, the event has achieved remarkable success. In 2023 alone, it raised over $180,000 and funded the Melanoma Research Foundation’s Women in Science Melanoma Research Grant. Since 2021, #GetNakedJax has contributed over $400,000 to life-changing melanoma research.

Attendees can expect an evening of cocktails, dinner, live entertainment, and the satisfaction of contributing to a cause that makes a significant impact on the lives of those affected by melanoma. Beyond the festivities, the event serves a crucial purpose – celebrating progress in research, raising funds, and creating awareness for melanoma prevention. The event’s atmosphere combines celebration with a sense of purpose, making it one of Jacksonville’s premier fundraising events – It’s a party you do not want to miss!
